Throughout my life, I have explored nearly every type of art medium imaginable, from paper making to ceramics. While obtaining my therapy license, I also became a mother to my first son, which was a challenging but rewarding experience. Despite these demands, I continued to engage my creative instincts while helping rehabilitate individuals in their home environments.
Over time, I found myself drawn back to my artistic roots and sought a way to transform my passion into a more consistent career. My training in film photography during high school and college made this transition feel seamless. Photography not only reignited my love for art but also allowed me to indulge my passion for travel and meeting new people. In my everyday life, I enjoy exploring various handicrafts, discovering new places, wandering around New York City, savoring good food, and planning my next family adventure.
There's something truly special about capturing people as they gather close, immersed in their shared world of books, their expressions radiating warmth and connection, taking note of how the light casts shadows in just the right spots. My goal is to encourage individuals to get comfortable, relax, and enjoy simply being together whilst I document these experiences in a way that tells a visual story and evokes those feelings.
Creating something meaningful with my hands is truly beautiful; there is something special about the tactile process of making things to express and communicate. This passion is what I bring to all my sessions. My love for fine art and handcrafting plays an essential role in my photography and how I perceive people's memories and moments. Memories are not just captured in a photo; they are something visceral and deeply felt. They bring all the senses to life. That's why I bring that handmade quality to all my work, transforming your memories into something that has texture and raw edges—something you can almost run your hand over and feel, allowing you to relive those moments again and again.
